Please have a look at the white version. Is that what it's supposed to be like? I don't know if the shadows are dark enough. What about if the gown is made into a dark colour, will the shadows be darker or disappear completely?
Also, pay no attention to the grey ensemble on the left.
Just something I did for fun. Since this dollie will be based on an original character of mine, she happens to start her life in a convent, hence the nun's garbs... I don't think I will include them in the available outfits.

the shadows depend on the textile you wanna portray.
silk, for example, needs hard shadows and hard highlights. almost like metal.
velvet needs a soft highlight where other textiles need shadows.
